Editorial Standards: How We Write and Review Health Content

Short answer

Every guide on this site is drafted by a Posture Lab LA practitioner, sourced to primary literature or major medical institutions, reviewed before publication, and dated. We state uncertainty plainly, we do not diagnose, and we correct errors publicly rather than quietly editing them away.

Key points

  • Written by practicing practitioners, not outsourced content writers.
  • Claims are sourced to primary research or major medical institutions.
  • Every guide carries a visible last-updated date.
  • We label uncertainty instead of overstating it.
  • Errors are corrected and noted, not silently removed.

Who writes this content?

Guides are drafted by the practitioners who deliver the work in our Santa Monica studio, then edited for clarity. You can see the team on our team page.

How we source claims

  • Physiological claims cite peer-reviewed research or major institutions — NIH/PubMed, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, CDC, WHO.
  • Where evidence is mixed or preliminary, we say so in the sentence rather than in a footnote.
  • Clinical experience is labeled as clinical experience, not presented as research.
  • We link sources directly so you can check them.

What we will not claim

  • That any modality cures disease.
  • That sauna, cold or massage 'detoxes' you — your liver and kidneys do that.
  • Specific outcomes or timelines for an individual we have not assessed.
  • That our approach replaces medical care. It does not, and we refer out when that is the right call.

Corrections and updates

Every guide shows the date of its last substantive update. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change. If you spot an error, tell us — we would rather be corrected than cited incorrectly.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to assist with drafting, editing and formatting. No guide is published without a practitioner reviewing it for clinical accuracy, and no source is cited without being checked.
