Pillar guide

Posture alignment therapy near you.

Posture alignment therapy corrects how your whole body stacks and loads instead of chasing the one joint that hurts. At Posture Lab LA in Santa Monica we assess your alignment, retrain the pattern with corrective strength, and recover the tissue holding it in place — typically 6–12 sessions, no referral needed.

3303 Pico Blvd. Suite G, Santa Monica, CA 90405 · (310) 231-8866

What to expect

Your first visit, step by step.

1. Postural assessment (45 min)

Standing, seated and loaded screens: how you stack, breathe, rotate and shift weight. We photograph and measure so change is objective, not a feeling.

2. Corrective retraining

S.E.T. Method™ loads the structures your alignment is missing — deep neck flexors, glutes, obliques, feet — so the correction holds without cueing.

3. Tissue and nervous-system recovery

Neuro-Fascia Massage™ releases the guarding that pulls you back into the old pattern, with optional private contrast therapy to settle the nervous system.

What it treats

Patterns posture alignment therapy corrects.

Forward head and tech neck

Rounded shoulders and upper-cross pattern

Low back pain and anterior pelvic tilt

Hip and SI joint imbalance

Sciatica-type nerve tension

Shoulder impingement and scapular timing

Chronic tightness that stretching never clears

Performance plateaus in trained athletes

The most common root cause we find is anterior pelvic tilt. For the mechanics behind why alignment degrades in the first place, read the posture science guide.

FAQ

Posture alignment therapy questions

What is posture alignment therapy?+

Posture alignment therapy is a hands-on and exercise-based approach that corrects how your whole body stacks and loads, rather than treating one painful joint. A practitioner assesses your standing and moving alignment, identifies which structures are short, weak or mistimed, and prescribes corrective work that retrains the pattern over a series of sessions.

How do I find posture alignment therapy near me in Los Angeles?+

Posture Lab LA is at 3303 Pico Blvd. Suite G, Santa Monica, CA 90405 — roughly 10–20 minutes from Venice, Marina del Rey, Culver City, Brentwood and West LA. You can book online with no referral; call (310) 231-8866 if you'd rather talk through your case first.

Is posture alignment therapy the same as chiropractic care?+

No. Chiropractic care primarily adjusts joints to restore motion. Posture alignment therapy changes the muscular and fascial pattern that keeps pulling those joints out of position, so the correction lasts between visits. Many clients do both — the work is complementary.

How is it different from physical therapy?+

Physical therapy usually treats a diagnosed injury within an insurance-defined episode of care. Posture alignment therapy is whole-body and preventive: we correct the structural pattern behind recurring pain, including in people who have already been discharged from PT and still hurt.

How many sessions does posture correction take?+

Most clients feel a change within 1–3 sessions. Alignment that holds on its own generally takes 6–12 sessions across 8–16 weeks, depending on how long the pattern has been in place.

Do I need a referral or a diagnosis?+

No referral is required. Our assessment is a posture and movement screen, not a medical diagnosis, and if anything falls outside our scope we say so and refer out.

Does insurance cover posture alignment therapy?+

We're a self-pay practice. We can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, and sessions are often HSA/FSA eligible.

"The Posture Reset literally changed how I run. Six months of nagging hip pain — gone in three sessions. The recovery suite after a long run is unreal."
Sarah M. · Marathon runner · Santa Monica
"I sit on cameras 12 hours a day. The S.E.T. work and a weekly cold plunge / sauna combo has been the only thing that actually undoes the damage."
James D. · Cinematographer · Venice
"JP and the team know structural movement better than anyone I've worked with in LA. The private suite is a luxury — but the bodywork is the real reason I come back."
Priya K. · Yoga teacher · Marina del Rey
"Contrast therapy after big swells, Neuro-Fascia work mid-week. My recovery time is half what it was. This place is the secret weapon."
